Job Description
Delamar Mystic - Stunning waterfront luxury boutique hotel with views of the Mystic River is seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer. This candidate will be performing preventative maintenance around the hotel and will be responsible for all repairs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within out hotel. Your expertise will help create a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition. Preventative Maintenance Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures, and take necessary actions to mitigate the impact on guests and staff. Monitor and maintain hotel equipment, including boilers, chillers, elevators, and fire safety systems, to ensure their reliability and safety. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and work orders to track maintenance history and plan for future maintenance needs. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any identified hazards promptly. Provide training and guidance to hotel staff on safety procedures and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment. Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields preferred. Proven experience in hotel engineering, facility maintenance, or a related role. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Familiarity with building codes, and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
