A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Full-time, in person Job Summary We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a mattress manufacturing facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial production machinery. The technician will also perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and support safe, efficient production. Responsibilities Inspect and maintain industrial mattress-production machinery Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical equipment issues Perform preventive maintenance to reduce production downtime Repair or replace worn, damaged, and defective machine components Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production concerns Test machinery after repairs to ensure safe and proper operation Read blueprints, technical diagrams, equipment manuals, and work orders Assist with machinery installations, adjustments, and production changeovers Document completed repairs, maintenance work, and replacement parts Help improve equipment performance and production efficiency Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Qualifications At least 1-2 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience Experience working with production machinery required Mattress, textile, or similar manufacturing experience is a plus Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills Basic electrical troubleshooting experience Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and work instructions High school diploma or GED required Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to bend, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach Comfortable working around machinery, noise, dust, fumes, odors, and changing temperatures How to Apply Apply online at www.istaffing.us .
