Repairs and maintains all components of production CNC machines and equipment including pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, material handling systems, air compressor systems, automated lubrication systems, hoists and performs misc. mechanical, plumbing and electrical building repairs by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates equipment as required in order to diagnose failure. Troubleshoots equipment to the electronic and/or mechanical component level and dismantles equipment as required to make repairs. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches. Validates repair of machines and equipment following repair. Troubleshoots electrical components and must be able to measure AC and DC voltages and interpret machine system drawings. Provides support and training for the machinists and machine operators. Develops and maintains the preventive maintenance list for each machine and performs the preventative maintenance as required. Schedules repairs using outside suppliers as required. Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems. Supports raw material / saw and part finishing / parts washing activities as required.Competency:
