Role Overview As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in the installation, upkeep, and diagnostic repair of telecommunications hardware, including cabling and switches, to guarantee high-quality network performance. This position involves operating machinery and requires the ability to apply creative problem-solving while working under general oversight. Core Responsibilities Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunications equipment and cabling to support consistent network reliability. Help maintain optimal network usage and quality standards through proactive field maintenance. Perform a diverse range of technical tasks while exercising professional judgment to meet project objectives. Operate machinery and equipment with a focus on efficiency and safety. Work under general supervision while utilizing personal expertise to navigate standard industry practices. Requirements Possess a high school diploma or an equivalent educational background. Demonstrate 2-4 years of relevant experience in a similar technical role. Maintain a solid understanding of standard industry concepts, procedures, and practices. Show the ability to plan and execute work goals effectively based on prior experience. Apply a necessary degree of creative latitude to resolve daily operational challenges. Work Environment and Physical Demands This role involves lifting requirements typically capped at 30 pounds without frequent repetition. You should expect moderate exposure to various physical, chemical, and biological risks, as well as proximity to machinery. Furthermore, the operation of powered industrial trucks is required, which may be classified as industrial or heavy-duty depending on the specific environmental conditions.
