Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace commercial and residential overhead garage door systems, openers, springs, cables, rollers, hinges, and other hardware components using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose issues and deliver solutions on site. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and repair projects. Handle heavy lifting of doors, springs, and other equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols. Complete detailed inspections of doors for mechanical issues or damage; perform troubleshooting using schematic diagrams. Maintain a clean work environment; document service activities thoroughly; communicate effectively with clients about project timelines and procedures. Typical day starts around 7:30 and ends around 4:00 Skills Requires 3-5 years experience in servicing and installing garage doors required. Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (drills, saws), and specialized construction equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge of garage door systems including springs, cables, rollers, tracks, openers, and safety mechanisms. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise installations.
