Will be required to be on-call for after hour emergency maintenance concerns 1-2 weeks/month. Occasional overtime is mandatory. Essential Job Functions Responsible for timely completion of all phases of apartment make ready work including repairs and painting. Troubleshooting and assisting with repair of major and all minor mechanical systems. Responsible for unsupervised, timely completion of occupied apartment service requests in accordance with company and property standards. Snow removal and snow plowing. Complete all other tasks or duties as assigned. Maintain a clean an orderly facility. Skills & Knowledge Experience in multifamily apartment maintenance or experience in related field. Proficient in at least two areas of apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electricity, painting drywall, floor installation, carpentry, locks, appliances, roofs, and light equipment. Formal training or certificates reflecting completion of maintenance related course or courses. Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties. Ability to speak and understand English; basic written skills and strong oral communication are required. Ability to function effectively in customer service atmosphere. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job: lift 50 pounds, climb into attics. Must be able to provide timely results in a sometimes unsupervised environment. Qualifications High school or equivalent (Required) Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Required) Work authorization (Required) Machine maintenance: 3 years (Preferred) HVAC maintenance experience/certification (Preferred)
