Our client, a dynamic manufacturing company in Frederica, Delaware, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a temporary assignment of approximately three months or longer. What You'll Be Doing Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing machinery and facility systems to ensure optimal performance. Work with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components to diagnose and resolve issues. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, following strict documentation and quality procedures. Keep all equipment and work areas organized and clean, adhering to 5S principles. Contribute to equipment upgrades and maintenance projects that improve production efficiency. Support other plant operations when needed, always prioritizing safety and quality compliance. Required Skills Proven experience in machine or industrial maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for mechanical equipment. Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Experience performing preventative maintenance. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain meticulous documentation. Dependability, safety-conscious mindset, and commitment to quality standards. Nice to Have Skills Prior experience working in manufacturing or production environments. Certifications in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems. Knowledge of Lean or 5S methodologies. Preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or relevant technical education are a plus. Minimum 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial setting. Other Requirements Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Must be comfortable working in a physically active environment involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
