Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all building occupants. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills across a variety of maintenance tasks, from electrical and plumbing repairs to HVAC system servicing, while contributing to the overall success of our operations. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct HVAC system repairs, including filter replacements, ductwork adjustments, and troubleshooting thermostats to ensure optimal climate control. Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and facilities maintenance projects. Maintain facilities equipment by repairing or replacing components such as motors, pumps, valves, and electrical panels. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations. Document maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports; interpret schematics for complex repairs. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during larger repair projects or installations when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from building occupants or management. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated systems is preferred. Skilled in welding techniques and the use of hand tools for various repair tasks. Knowledge of electrical equipment repair including circuit breakers, wiring, switches, and electrical panels. Experience reading schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation to troubleshoot issues effectively. Ability to perform residential painting and maintenance painting to uphold building aesthetics. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in plumbing system maintenance and repair. Leadership qualities with the ability to guide team members or coordinate with contractors on complex projects. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork.
