Job SummaryAs a Poromerics Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of specialized equipment and systems within the Poromerics manufacturing area at Qnity. This role is critical to maintaining high production efficiency and product quality.
Job Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on Poromerics production equipment, including but not limited to presses, mixers, coating machines, and drying ovens. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on complex manufacturing machinery. Execute corrective maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. Utilize schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify problems and implement solutions. Calibrate and adjust equipment to meet precise manufacturing specifications. Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Collaborate with production operators and engineers to identify potential equipment improvements and process optimizations. Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company environmental policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment. Assist with the installation and commissioning of new Poromerics equipment. Respond to maintenance calls outside of regular hours as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Certified Welder Certified Millwright or willingness to become certified Preferred Qualifications Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
