Doctors Memorial Hospital currently has a position available for an experienced Floor Tech to work under the direction of the Maintenance Director. The floor Tech is responsible for maintenance and restoration of the flooring throughout the facility, this includes operation of the industrial floor care equipment for scrubbing, mopping, waxing, buffing, and stripping. You will use cleaning equipment including high-speed burnishers, automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, other types of floor machines and other necessary equipment, tools, products, and supplies. Experience in stripping, waxing, and maintaining VCT tile flooring is required. Service areas include offices, patient rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, cafeteria, and other public areas. Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily. Maintain a friendly, efficient and positive attitude toward patients, visitors, and coworkers. Additional outside work may be assigned.
