Packaging Line Maintenance Technician

About the Role As a Packaging Line Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a vital member of our production support team, ensuring that our high-speed packaging systems operate at peak efficiency. You will play a key role in maximizing equipment uptime by performing proactive maintenance, rapid changeovers, and complex troubleshooting to meet our daily production targets. Responsibilities Execute preventive maintenance, including center-lining and CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate) protocols, to ensure equipment reliability. Perform rapid equipment changeovers to minimize downtime and ensure seamless transitions between product runs. Troubleshoot complex mechanical and system-level issues, identifying root causes to restore functionality quickly. Monitor packaging materials and coding accuracy to maintain strict quality assurance standards. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and training manuals, to support team knowledge. Proactively identify and resolve equipment variances to prevent production delays. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and training, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations, GMP standards, and PPE requirements. Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience. Strong proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and the use of technical hand tools. Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals and schematics. Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Preferred Skills Experience with industrial software such as SAP, Zarpac, or similar manufacturing execution systems. Proven track record in training others on technical equipment and processes. Prior experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or packaging environment. Strong analytical skills for tracking material usage and troubleshooting variances.
