Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Groundsman or Handyman to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team At an olive grove! In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the care and upkeep of landscaped areas, trees, and outdoor facilities. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, combined with your technical skills, will help ensure our grounds are safe, healthy, and visually appealing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in arboriculture, landscaping, and general maintenance while working in a vibrant outdoor environment. Responsibilities Assist with tree removal projects using proper arborist rigging techniques and safety protocols Operate bucket trucks safely to access high branches for pruning, trimming, or removal tasks Support tree care activities including plant pruning, tree trimming, and general landscape maintenance Use chainsaws and other hand tools to perform precise cutting and removal tasks Implement lawn care and landscaping duties to maintain healthy turf and attractive outdoor spaces Follow safety procedures diligently during all operations, including rigging and equipment handling Maintain equipment such as bucket trucks and hand tools, ensuring they are in good working condition Cleaning chicken coops Fixing plumbing and electrical Experience Prior outdoor work experience in landscaping, horticulture, or tree care preferred mapping and planning tasks Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques and tree removal processes highly desirable Hands-on experience with bucket operation and plant pruning care is beneficial Ability to operate chainsaws safely and efficiently in accordance with safety standards Understanding of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and machinery use Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (study of trees) is advantageous for career development
