Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Facilities, Maintenance & Machinist Technician supports the performance and reliability of production and facility equipment by performing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and machining tasks. This role is essential to minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. By combining mechanical repair and precision machining, this position directly contributes to operational efficiency and equipment longevity.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime. Fabricate, modify, and repair machine components using machining equipment. Operate shop equipment, including lathes, mills, drills, and grinders, safely and effectively. Assist with the installation, setup, and testing of new machinery and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and tolerances to produce accurate parts. Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support daily operational needs.

Compensation:

$17.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications:
Required:

High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience as a machinist or in a mechanical/maintenance role Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment operation Ability to read measurements and perform basic math calculations Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work in a physically active, fast-paced environment

Preferred:

Experience in a manufacturing, printing, or direct mail environment Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices Experience operating a variety of machining and fabrication equipment

This role is based in an industrial production facility within the direct mail and digital marketing industry. The position involves hands-on work with machinery and equipment, requiring adherence to safety standards and close collaboration with maintenance and production teams to support continuous operations.
