Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window & Door Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation, framing, and general carpentry, with a strong understanding of construction site procedures. This role involves installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors in residential and commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical systems will excel in this position. A background in remodeling, electrical experience, and handyman skills are considered valuable assets. The successful applicant will work on various projects requiring precision, heavy lifting, and the use of power tools. Responsibilities Install and replace windows and doors according to project specifications and blueprints Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Perform glass installation, door hanging, frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and fixture installation Execute metal stud framing, drywall installation, caulking, and sealant application to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing Operate welding equipment when necessary for custom fabrication or repairs Utilize schematics and blueprints to guide installation processes Conduct remodeling tasks including cabinetry installation and locksmithing as needed Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and building codes Assist with heavy lifting of materials such as glass panels, framing components, and fixtures Maintain a clean work environment and coordinate with team members for efficient project completion Qualifications Proven experience in window and door installation within construction or remodeling environments Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, mechanical systems, and electrical components related to construction projects Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more) throughout the workday Experience with drywall installation, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, caulking, fixture installation, cabinet installation, remodeling projects, locksmithing skills is preferred Construction site experience with a focus on safety standards is required Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship Valid driver's license is preferred for travel between job sites This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance your skills in construction and fabrication while contributing to high-quality building solutions.
