Job Description

Overview Opportunity:
Chief Engineer Manage general and preventative maintenance functions to ensure guest service and sustainability standards are achieved and maintained throughout the hotel structure. Your Growth Path Area Chief Engineer•
Regional Director of Engineering Your Focus Leadership:
Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates to ensure they perform in accordance with brand standards and HHM core values.
Financial and Vendor Oversight:
Manage and coordinate bids, quotes, and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
Project Management:
Oversee small projects or Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) and report on work progress.
Technical Repairs:
Perform and oversee diverse tasks including sheetrock repair, painting, furniture refinishing, and the replacement of electrical and plumbing fixtures.
Equipment and Systems:
Troubleshoot kitchen equipment and repair heating/cooling pumps. You will also install and program televisions.
Preventative Maintenance:
Maintain accurate records of PMs on all rooms and equipment; test and maintain life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational.
Compliance:
Coordinate compliance of service contracts and ensure all work meets local, state, and Federal codes.
Operations:
Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal while following EarthView sustainability guidelines.
Safety and Service:
Practice safe work habits following MSDS and OSHA standards while working to increase guest satisfaction scores. Your Background and Skills High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in a related field is preferred. Previous supervisory engineer/maintenance experience (or equivalent training) is required. HVAC certification is required. Other certifications may be required based on local needs. Work Environment and Context Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends or alternate shifts. Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
