Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs for both apartment units and hotel guest rooms. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the property safe, clean, functional, and in good condition while responding promptly to maintenance requests. Responsibilities Complete maintenance and repair requests for apartments, hotel rooms, and common areas. Perform basic plumbing repairs , including toilets, faucets, sinks, drains, and leaks. Perform basic electrical repairs , including outlets, switches, light fixtures, and replacing bulbs. Troubleshoot and perform basic A/C and HVAC maintenance . Perform drywall repair, patching, painting, and touch-ups. Handle minor appliance repairs and replacements. Prepare apartment units and hotel rooms for new tenants and guests. Perform preventive maintenance inspections. Maintain exterior areas, walkways, parking areas, and common spaces as needed. Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues, including water leaks, A/C problems, electrical issues, and other emergencies. Report major repairs or safety concerns to management immediately. Maintain records of completed work orders and materials used. Provide professional and respectful service when working around tenants and hotel guests. Assist with other property maintenance duties as assigned by management. Requirements Previous apartment, hotel, or general property maintenance experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and general repairs. Ability to troubleshoot maintenance problems and complete repairs efficiently. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to lift and move maintenance equipment and supplies. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations when required. Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude when interacting with tenants and guests. Preferred Qualifications Apartment or hotel maintenance experience. HVAC experience or certification. Experience with unit turns and hotel room maintenance. Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures. Ability to handle multiple work orders and prioritize urgent repairs.
