A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Initial training on 1st shift, then transition to 2nd or 3rd shift Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment, including conveyors, gearboxes, motors, blow molding equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical controls. This position requires a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background and the ability to use diagnostic tools such as a multimeter and work with PLC inputs and outputs . Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment. Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and mechanical equipment . Troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLC inputs and outputs . Use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues and identify faulty components. Perform mechanical fabrication, repairs, modifications, and equipment adjustments as needed. Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems . Diagnose and repair equipment used in blow molding operations , including approximately 350-ton blow molding machines . Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to minimize equipment downtime. Perform equipment inspections and preventive maintenance. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Work collaboratively with production and other maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues. Qualifications Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role . Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and industrial machinery . Experience troubleshooting PLCs, including inputs and outputs . Proficiency using a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting. Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics . Experience with fabrication and mechanical repairs . Experience with blow molding equipment is strongly preferred. Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift after completing initial training. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on electro-mechanical technician who can quickly diagnose equipment problems, troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical systems, and keep production equipment operating efficiently.
