Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the resort's facilities. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The technician works closely with other departments to respond promptly to maintenance requests while maintaining high standards of safety and service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on guest rooms, buildings, and resort facilities. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, carpentry, and painting issues. Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner. Respond quickly to guest maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Inspect facilities daily to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs. Maintain swimming pools, outdoor areas, walkways, and landscaping equipment as assigned. Install, repair, and replace fixtures, appliances, doors, locks, and furniture. Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies. Follow OSHA safety regulations and resort maintenance procedures. Keep accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation. Work collaboratively with housekeeping, front desk, and engineering departments to minimize guest disruptions. Ensure all work meets quality standards while providing excellent customer service. Requirements Previous experience in hotel, resort, commercial, or residential maintenance preferred. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. Basic computer skills for completing work orders and maintenance logs. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings when required. Valid driver's license preferred. English is required - Fully bilingual is a plus
