As a maintenance technician you will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. Ensuring that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, general janitorial duties and, the upkeep of the landscape. Essentially, the goal of the maintenance technician is to maintain the facilities and common areas in the best possible condition. Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol. General landscaping of property and upkeep of public areas. Complete outstanding work orders. Collect trash and recycle and dispose of properly. Sweep, mop, and tidy all areas of the property. Complete special projects in efforts of preventative maintenance. Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations. Inspect and maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality. Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
