ABM Industries is hiring a Traveling Floor Technician to support client facilities across multiple locations. You will perform floor care services including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, and carpet cleaning in commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial environments. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining floor care equipment, following safety and chemical handling procedures, moving furniture as needed, and ensuring high cleanliness standards. This role requires frequent regional travel, schedule flexibility, strong attention to detail, reliable communication with site supervisors, and commitment to ABM's culture of safety, respect, and service. Responsibilities Perform floor stripping, waxing, sealing, and burnishing on hard floors Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, auto-scrubbers, and carpet extractors Complete carpet extraction, spot cleaning, and interim maintenance Follow all safety, PPE, and chemical handling procedures Move and reset furniture and equipment to complete floor work Inspect finished work and resolve floor appearance issues Travel to multiple client sites within the region as scheduled Communicate with supervisors and clients about work orders and priorities Maintain equipment, supplies, and work areas in clean, safe condition Support general custodial tasks as needed to meet service standards Required Skills Floor stripping and waxing Machine burnishing and buffing Auto-scrubber operation Carpet extraction and spot cleaning Chemical dilution and handling Safety and PPE compliance Equipment maintenance Basic custodial/janitorial tasks Time management Travel and schedule flexibility
