Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, experienced individual for a full-time Day Porter / Building Maintenance position at a professionally managed office building in Miami Beach. This is a permanent, 40-hour-per-week position working at one property,Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM .
Employment:
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a commercial office building, condominium, hotel, or similar property and will take pride in keeping the building clean, well maintained, and presentable throughout the day. Primary Responsibilities Maintain and clean building common areas, including lobby areas, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, breezeway, and other shared areas Regularly inspect and clean common-area restrooms and replenish supplies Keep entrances, exterior areas, planting areas, and parking garage clean and free of litter and debris Clean elevator doors, walls, frames, thresholds, and other surfaces Walk the property periodically and identify cleaning, maintenance, or painting items that need attention Perform basic light maintenance, including replacing light bulbs, minor painting and similar tasks Respond to basic maintenance requests and investigate problems such as leaks or other building conditions Assist building management in addressing tenant and common-area maintenance issues Provide access to and accompany contractors when they need to enter office suites Notify management promptly of damage, maintenance problems, or conditions requiring outside repair Help maintain an appropriate inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies Perform other reasonable cleaning and light-maintenance duties as needed Qualifications Prior porter, janitorial, building maintenance, hotel, condominium, commercial property, or similar experience required Must be dependable and punctual Must be comfortable performing both cleaning and light-maintenance duties Ability to work independently and recognize tasks that need attention without always being instructed Professional and courteous when interacting with office tenants, visitors, contractors, and building staff Able to perform the physical duties normally associated with cleaning and light building maintenance Must provide satisfactory prior employment references The employee will work under the direction of the building's onsite lobby concierge and management company.
