GED Full Job Description Summary:
Responsible for supervising the Engineering team, providing leadership and guidance in the general repair and maintenance of the hotel property.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees work assigned to Maintenance Engineers by Chief Engineer Guides, provides leadership and mentorship to Maintenance Engineers Trains new Maintenance Engineers Has ultimate responsibility in the absence of the Chief Engineer Offers insight, makes evaluations and assists department managers in problem solving Performs general repairs and maintenance as required Responds to trouble calls as reported by other departments Keeps maintenance shop organized and takes care of tools and equipment Assists in other areas based on trade knowledge (i.e. plumbing, electrical, HVAC) Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma; 4 years of general maintenance experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
General knowledge of tools and building materials Strong interpersonal skills required Strong organizational and time management skills required Ability to verbally communicate with others
Working Conditions:
Work is not performed in an office environment and requires evening and weekend hours.
