Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of vacation rentals and the entire resort property at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. This includes performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure all facilities, equipment, and amenities are in excellent working condition. This role supports the resorts pristine reputation by ensuring guest areas and vacation rentals are well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of vacation rentals and property areas to identify and address maintenance needs.

Perform maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.

Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize guest inconvenience.

Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and systems, including elevators, lighting, pools, and other resort amenities.

Assist with preventative maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of property assets.

Collaborate with the engineering and housekeeping teams to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

Follow safety protocols, ensuring that work areas are clean and organized after completing tasks.

Support with emergency repairs as needed and be available for on-call duty.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry heavy materials up to 50 lbs.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods.

Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.

Must be able to operate tools and equipment such as drills, saws, electrical testers, and other hand tools.

Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and cold.

Must have the stamina to work a full shift performing physical labor in various weather conditions.

Ability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding work for extended periods.

Must have full range of motion and dexterity in hands and fingers to operate tools.

Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to potential hazards.

Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and lift, pull, and push objects as needed throughout the day.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.

Proven experience in property maintenance, with knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in building maintenance.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Valid drivers license and ability to operate a golf cart or resort vehicle.
