We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Hotel Engineer/Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly and enjoys working in a collaborative, guest-first environment. Position Summary The Hotel Engineer/Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition of the hotel—ensuring all systems, equipment, guest rooms, and public areas are operating at peak performance. You'll play a key role in ensuring guests feel at home by maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that reflects the Residence Inn brand. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Troubleshoot and repair guest room and facility issues promptly and professionally Maintain the property's exterior, equipment, and safety systems Keep accurate maintenance logs and communicate larger repair needs to management Respond quickly to guest or associate maintenance requests with a friendly, service-focused attitude Follow all Marriott brand and safety standards to ensure compliance and guest satisfaction Support the operations team in preparing rooms and public areas for occupancy and inspection Qualifications Previous hotel or facilities maintenance experience preferred (Marriott experience a plus) General knowledge of building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Excellent attention to detail and guest service skills Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work as needed Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
