Job Description
Experienced Pool Leak Detection & Equipment Repair Technician Stand Out Pools is seeking an experienced Pool Leak Detection & Equipment Repair Technician with at least three years of hands-on pool repair experience . This position will have a strong focus on complete pool leak detection and diagnostics , along with pool equipment troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and upgrades. We are looking for someone who can confidently diagnose problems—not just replace parts. The ideal candidate has experience performing full leak checks on pools and spas , locating difficult leaks, troubleshooting equipment and plumbing problems, and completing the necessary repairs. This is NOT a pool cleaning position or traditional daily service route. Must be willing to get in pools! We will provide wetsuits as needed during colder months. Primary Responsibilities Perform complete pool and spa leak detection inspections Diagnose and locate structural, plumbing, equipment, and fitting leaks Pressure test pool and spa plumbing lines Perform dye testing and other leak-detection procedures Identify leaks around returns, skimmers, drains, lights, fittings, tile, and other pool penetrations Troubleshoot underground and concealed plumbing leaks Locate leak underground using listening devices Complete repairs after leaks and other problems are identified Troubleshoot pool pumps, filters, heaters, automation, electrical, and plumbing systems Install and replace pool pumps and pump motors Install pool filters and saltwater systems Install and program automation systems Replace time clocks and other pool electrical components Install heat pumps and pool heaters Upgrade existing pool equipment Complete construction- and renovation-related pool repairs Support pool renovation projects as needed Clearly document findings and recommended repairs Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite Qualifications Three or more years of professional pool repair, equipment, or leak-detection experience Pool leak-detection experience strongly preferred Experience performing complete pool leak checks and pressure testing Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities Knowledge of pool plumbing systems Working knowledge of pool electrical and equipment systems Experience repairing and replacing pool equipment Comfortable entering pools and spas when necessary to diagnose or repair problems Valid driver's license and reasonably clean driving record Dependable, professional, and able to work independently Strong communication and customer-service skills Who We're Looking For We want an experienced problem solver who understands how swimming pools work as complete systems. You should be comfortable being handed a pool with an unknown problem and working through the plumbing, equipment, structure, and pool itself to determine exactly what is wrong and how to fix it correctly .
