Fuel System & Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Duties - The incumbent in this position is responsible for a multi-site maintenance, repair, regulatory compliance, and emergency response activities for fueling and facilities systems across the Seminole Tribe of Florida gas station trading post and Seminole Petroleum locations. The individual performs routine and preventive maintenance on fuel dispensing systems and underground storage tank (UST) and above ground storage tanks (ASTs) equipment diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, calibrates and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance through inspections, testing, and accurate documentation. This role responds promptly to emergencies affecting fueling operations, conducting immediate safety assessments, initiates containment procedures, and coordinates with environmental or emergency response teams as needed. Skills - High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in fuel systems or petroleum equipment maintenance. Florida UST Operator Certification, Class A/B Underground Storage Tank (UST) Operator is required. Florida Class C UST Operator Training, Hazardous materials awareness training, emergency spill response training and familiarity with Above-Ground Storage Tank (AST) inspection standards (STI SP001) are highly preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Knowledge and understanding of Florida DEP regulations (62‑761) and UST operator compliance requirements. Must maintain active compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Tribal regulations governing fuel systems and underground storage tanks. Knowledge of fuel dispensing systems, UST/AST components, STPs, sensors, valves, and ATG systems. Must have the ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring timely maintenance across multiple sites. Must have the ability to travel to multiple sites, be on call and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour
