Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Traveling Handyman specializing in Commercial Construction! In this energetic and vital role, you will be the go-to expert for maintaining, repairing, and enhancing a variety of facilities across multiple job sites. Your expertise will ensure that each project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently, contributing directly to the success of our construction operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your diverse skills while traveling to different locations and making a tangible impact on commercial building environments. Duties Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of building interior systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, and maintenance painting to uphold building aesthetics and structural integrity. Repair and maintain HVAC systems, ensuring optimal operation and timely servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for precise repairs and installations. Supervise or assist with facilities equipment maintenance operations while providing excellent customer service to clients on-site. Lead small teams or coordinate with subcontractors when necessary to ensure project deadlines are met with quality workmanship. Experience Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) within commercial or residential settings. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus. Experience working with schematics for electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing layouts, and building infrastructure. Supervising or leadership experience demonstrating the ability to guide teams or coordinate projects effectively. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters, and maintenance painting techniques. Excellent communication skills in English for clear instructions and customer interactions. Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices including safety protocols for working across multiple sites in various locations.
