A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime About the Position Aussie Landscape Management is hiring an experienced Landscape Technician to join our growing team. Applicants must have professional landscape maintenance or installation experience. We are looking for someone who is dependable, communicates well, takes pride in their work, and wants the opportunity to grow into greater responsibility or leadership. We provide landscape maintenance, installations, drainage, irrigation, top dressing, and outdoor improvement services throughout Clay, Duval, and St. Johns counties. Pay and Advancement New employees begin at $19 per hour during a 1-2 week paid onboarding period . During onboarding, you will learn our properties, equipment, safety procedures, company systems, and quality standards. Employees who successfully complete onboarding and meet company expectations will move to $20 per hour . Future raises will be based on: Production and efficiency Quality of work Communication and teamwork Attendance and reliability Skill development Ability to take on additional responsibility Responsibilities Mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing Pruning shrubs and small trees Operating commercial landscape equipment Installing plants, mulch, rock, and sod Assisting with landscape installations and enhancements Loading and unloading trucks and trailers Maintaining clean equipment, trucks, and job sites Communicating property concerns to crew leaders Requirements At least one year of professional landscaping experience Experience operating commercial mowers and handheld equipment Reliable transportation to our Orange Park meeting location Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work efficiently as part of a team Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds Valid driver's license preferred Truck-and-trailer experience is a plus We will train you on our company's systems, but applicants should already understand the basics of professional landscaping.
