Job Description
About the Role As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a critical member of our production support team, ensuring that high-speed manufacturing lines operate at peak efficiency. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to minimize downtime, execute preventative maintenance programs, and drive continuous improvement in our facility's operational performance. Responsibilities Configure and calibrate production machinery to meet daily output requirements and quality standards. Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical failures, including motor and control system issues, to restore line functionality. Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and prevent unplanned outages. Perform major overhauls on packaging equipment, ensuring all repairs align with safety protocols and GMP guidelines. Document all maintenance activities, modifications, and technical adjustments to maintain accurate equipment history and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify design improvements that enhance machine reliability and throughput. Provide technical support and coverage across production shifts to ensure seamless operations. Required Skills Minimum of 4 years of hands-on mechanical experience within a high-speed manufacturing or packaging environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting 120V to 480V industrial electrical systems and motor controls. Strong understanding of safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering documentation. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Preferred Skills Associate degree in an electronics field or a relevant Electrical Diploma/Certificate. Prior experience working with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and complex conveyor systems. Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Previous experience in the food, beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing industry.
