Job Description

About the Position Precision Garage Door Service is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Residential Garage Door Service Technician to serve customers throughout the Panama City Beach/Gulf Coast market. This is a field service and sales position for someone who is comfortable working with mechanical systems, using hand and power tools, communicating directly with homeowners, diagnosing problems, and recommending appropriate repair or replacement options. This opening is intended for candidates who already bring relevant mechanical, field-service, skilled-trades, sales, or customer-service experience. Company-specific training will be provided. What You'll Do Travel to customer homes in a company-provided service vehicle. Inspect and diagnose residential garage doors, openers, and related components. Explain findings and available repair or replacement options clearly to customers. Provide professional recommendations based on the customer's needs and condition of the equipment. Perform approved repairs, adjustments, maintenance, and component replacement. Use hand and power tools safely and correctly. Maintain accurate job and customer information using company systems. Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, parts, and work area. Deliver a professional customer experience from arrival through completion of the service call. Follow company procedures, safety expectations, and service standards. What We're Looking For Successful candidates will generally have experience in one or more of the following areas: Garage door service or installation HVAC Electrical Plumbing Appliance repair Automotive or mechanical repair Construction or other skilled trades Field service In-home sales or customer-facing service
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required. Driving record must meet company and insurance requirements. Experience using hand and power tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Comfortable discussing service options and making recommendations to customers. Ability to work independently in a field-service environment. Ability to learn company products, procedures, technology, and service standards. Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Prior garage door experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong transferable field-service, mechanical, or skilled-trades experience. Training Selected candidates will begin employment with a two-week paid training program in Pensacola from September 14-25 before returning to the Panama City market for continued field training. New technicians complete company training covering Precision products, service procedures, customer experience expectations, technology, and sales/service processes. Candidates should be prepared to participate fully in required company training before independently servicing customers. Compensation This position uses a base-pay plus commission compensation structure after completing Company required training programs. Estimated annual earnings are $60,000-$100,000, depending on individual performance, productivity, and commission earnings. Actual earnings may vary.
