Job Description
Coastal Marina Management is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Property Maintenance & Mechanical Technician to assist with general maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting throughout the marina and boatyard at the Pensacola Marine Center. We're looking for a jack-of-all-trades; someone who is comfortable diagnosing a problem, determining what needs to be done, and completing the repair when it falls within their skill set. This is not strictly an automotive or mechanic position and does not require heavy engine or transmission repair experience. We are looking for someone with broad mechanical knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and the willingness to tackle a variety of day-to-day maintenance needs.
Responsibilities may include:
Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs Diagnosing engines or equipment that will not start Routine maintenance, including oil changes and preventative maintenance Light electrical troubleshooting and repairs Light plumbing repairs Troubleshooting breakers, lighting, ice machines, pumps, and other property equipment General handyman and facility repairs Identifying maintenance issues before they become larger or more expensive problems Assisting with preventative maintenance throughout the property Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment Communicate maintenance concerns and needed repairs to managementSchedule:
This is a part-time, flexible position. Candidate must have some availability for on-call needs on weekends when necessary.Qualifications:
Strong general mechanical aptitude General handyman/maintenance experience Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge preferred Ability to troubleshoot and work independently Dependable, responsive, and able to follow through on assigned work Ability to safely use common hand and power tools Ability to perform the physical duties associated with property maintenance Valid driver's license References required Having your own tools is a plus but not required. Necessary tools and work uniforms can be provided.Starting Pay:
$25/hour, with compensation dependent on experience and qualifications.
