Job Description

If It Needs Fixing, You're Already On It. Are you the person who can spot a problem, figure out what's causing it, and get things working again without needing to be chased down? Lola's needs you. Lola's on the Water is looking for a hands-on General Maintenance Engineer who takes ownership of keeping a busy hospitality property safe, functional, and guest-ready. From preventive maintenance to everyday repairs, you'll be the person helping make sure the things guests never think about simply work the way they should.
What You'll Be Doing:
Performing preventive maintenance and day-to-day repairs throughout the restaurant and property. Troubleshooting basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, carpentry, painting, and equipment issues within your training and authorization. Responding promptly to maintenance requests and prioritizing issues affecting guests, safety, or operations. Conducting routine property inspections and identifying problems before they become larger repairs. Maintaining tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and parts inventory in an organized manner. Coordinating with managers and outside vendors when specialized service is required. Completing maintenance records as required and following all safety procedures. Helping keep the property looking sharp, functioning properly, and ready for guests every day. What You Bring to the
Table:
Previous hotel, restaurant, commercial property, or building maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of multiple building systems and general repair practices. Strong troubleshooting skills and the judgment to know when a licensed specialist is required. A hands-on, solution-oriented approach and ability to work independently. Good communication, organization, and follow-through. Ability to safely use hand and power tools and perform the physical requirements of the role. Flexible availability for operational needs, including occasional evenings, weekends, or urgent maintenance issues.
