Education and Experience:
An equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience: High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of experience in general maintenance and repair tasks or as a helper or as handyman in at least one of the major trades. Licenses and/or

Must maintain a valid driver's license. What to Expect in This Role This position requires knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, modern office practices, and job-related computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The role also calls for an understanding of standard methods, tools, materials, and safety practices related to the assigned trade areas. Successful candidates must be skilled in using and maintaining hand and power tools, operating office equipment, communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, and organizing and prioritizing work. The ability to follow oral and written instructions, work collaboratively in a team environment, perform heavy manual labor, and provide high-quality customer assistance is essential. Additionally, the role requires proficiency in computer-based tasks such as data entry and document preparation, the ability to prepare reports and business correspondence, and the capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, service providers, and the public.
