Job Description

Make-Ready Technician Location:
Port Saint Lucie, FL Pay:

$22 to $24/hour

Experience:

Previous apartment maintenance or make-ready experience required.

Full-time;

Temporary Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm HH Staffing is seeking an experienced Make-Ready Technician to join our apartment community maintenance team. This role is primarily responsible for preparing vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing unit turns efficiently and to company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have prior apartment maintenance experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Complete apartment turns within designated timelines. Perform basic maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry. Replace fixtures, hardware, light bulbs, and smoke detector batteries as needed. Patch and paint walls, touch up interiors, and prepare units for move-in. Complete appliance inspections and minor repairs. Ensure apartments are clean, safe, and move-in ready. Assist with groundskeeping and general property upkeep when needed. Report maintenance concerns and supply needs to the Maintenance Supervisor. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, and carpentry repairs. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Multifamily housing experience. EPA certification is a plus but not required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
