Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Maintenance / Pool Technician to join our community association Maintenance team. This position combines general facility maintenance with responsibility for the daily operation and maintenance of our community swimming pools. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, able to work independently, and experienced in both general building maintenance and pool operations. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout community facilities and common areas. Complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance projects. Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, flooring, and general building repairs. Perform drywall installation, patching, repair, finishing, sanding, texturing, and painting. Maintain and troubleshoot facility equipment and mechanical systems. Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns. Assist with community improvement projects and other maintenance duties as assigned. Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and storage areas in a clean and safe condition. Complete appropriate maintenance and repair projects in-house when within the employee's training and qualifications. Pool Maintenance Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance and operation of community swimming pools. Maintain both saltwater and traditional chlorine pool systems. Test pool water and maintain proper chemical balance in accordance with applicable Florida requirements and regulations. Monitor and adjust chlorine/sanitizer, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer, calcium hardness, salt levels, and other required water chemistry. Maintain accurate pool testing and chemical logs. Add and safely handle pool chemicals as necessary. Maintain proper water clarity, circulation, filtration, and sanitation. Brush, vacuum, skim, clean tile lines, and perform routine pool cleaning. Inspect and troubleshoot pumps, motors, filters, chlorinators, salt chlorine generators, chemical feeders/controllers, valves, gauges, and related pool equipment. Perform filter cleaning, backwashing, and routine preventive maintenance. Maintain pool equipment rooms and chemical storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Monitor chemical and pool supply inventory. Immediately report or address unsafe water conditions, equipment failures, leaks, or other conditions that could affect pool operation or safety. Qualifications Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification

REQUIRED.

Experience maintaining both saltwater and traditional chlorine pools preferred. 2-3 years of maintenance, facility maintenance, pool maintenance, construction trades, or relatedexperience preferred. Working knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration, circulation, pumps, motors, chlorination systems,and salt systems. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, HVAC, and building maintenance. Must be comfortable using hand and power tools. Must be able to work independently and manage assigned projects. Valid driver's license required. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to successfully complete required background and reference checks. Physical Requirements This is a hands-on position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and outdoor work. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work outdoors in Florida heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions. The position involves working around pool chemicals, mechanical equipment, wet surfaces, and other conditions associated with facility and pool maintenance. Required PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times.

Schedule:

Full-time | Schedule based on operational needs and may include weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage.
