Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full Time Drapery Fabrication Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming fabric materials into beautifully crafted drapery and upholstery pieces that meet our high-quality standards. Your expertise in measuring, cutting, sewing, and finishing fabric will ensure each project is executed with precision and excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of fabric materials and advanced machinery, contributing to the creation of custom window treatments and interior decor solutions that meet our clients needs. Responsibilities Fabricate custom draperies, valances, Roman Shades, and other soft furnishings from start to finish. Read and execute measurements and specification accurately Match patterns and prints precisely across panels Maintain clean, professional finishings on all seams and hems Inspect finished pieces forquality before completion Maintain and organize work areas, tools and machines Handle fabric with care to minimize waste Track projecttimelines and communicate progress or delays Assist with inventory of trims, hardware, and notions as needed Work efficiently and consistently to meet deadlines Maintain focus and productivity throughout scheduled work hours Experience Hands-0n experience in a professional workroom or similar sewing trade setting. Comfortable operating industrial sewing machine such as straight stitch, blind hemmer and serger Ability to read and interpret work orders, spec sheets or pattern instructions Basic math skills (fractions, yardage calculations, fullness rations) Strong attention to detail and pattern-matching accuracy Willingness to learn new techniques or take on unfamiliar project types Discretion and care when handling client fabrics and materials Able to communicate effectively in English Able to work independently and manage multiple projects Able to work well and get along with others Able to stay focused and minimize personal phone/devise use during work hours Comfortable with the physical demands of the role (Standing, lifting, working at large tables)
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
