We provide a stable, W2 position that offers the independence of field-based work alongside the security of consistent, year-round scheduling. As part of the Ace Hardware family, our St. Petersburg location is a State Certified Building Contractor (CBC1264967) recognized for top-rated repair, maintenance, and remodeling services. We handle the marketing, scheduling, and administrative work. You focus on what you do best: delivering high-quality craftsmanship and excellent service directly to our local residential and commercial clients. What Success Looks Like In this role, success is measured by the quality of your craft and the satisfaction of the clients you serve. You are the face of our company in the community. Your Day-to-Day Review your scheduled jobs for the day, which are organized and dispatched directly to you. Arrive at mid-to-small-scale project sites prepared to troubleshoot and complete a variety of tasks, from carpentry and drywall repairs to light plumbing and electrical work. Interact directly with clients to discuss their project goals, explain your process, and ensure they are pleased with the progress and final result. Manage materials and expenses efficiently using a company-provided credit card and tool/vehicle allowances. Leave every job site clean, safe, and fully resolved. Over Time Establish yourself as a trusted, go-to craftsman in the St. Petersburg area, resulting in repeat client requests. Consistently meet quality and efficiency standards to qualify for regular performance bonuses and pay reviews. Must-Have Requirements Proven track record of success in carpentry and general home repairs. A well-rounded knowledge of multiple trades, including drywalling, tiling, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical troubleshooting. Your own standard set of hand and power tools appropriate for daily remodeling and repair tasks. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to figure out the best approach to unexpected repair challenges. Excellent communication skills and a professional, respectful demeanor when working inside clients' homes and businesses. A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Residence within 15 miles of St. Petersburg, FL. Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience performing home inspections.
