• Job Title: Maintenance Technician Supervisor
• Job Description
• The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance department within a manufacturing environment, ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

This role is responsible for leading maintenance personnel, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.

• Responsibilities
• + Supervise, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics.

+ Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily maintenance activities to support production schedules.

+ Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts on industrial manufacturing equipment, automated systems, and facility assets.

+ Oversee maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps, compressors, and electrical systems.

+ Support PLC troubleshooting and program modifications to maintain equipment performance and reliability.

+ Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and downtime.

+ Monitor equipment performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

+ Coordinate maintenance shutdowns, equipment installations, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.

+ Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety standards.

+ Conduct root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and implement long-term solutions.

+ Maintain maintenance records, work orders, PM schedules, and spare parts inventory through CMMS systems.

+ Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to improve plant performance and efficiency.

+ Manage contractor activities, maintenance budgets, and equipment-related expenditures.

+ Perform employee evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and workforce development activities.

• Essential Skills
• + Strong leadership experience supervising industrial maintenance teams.

+ Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

+ Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment and automated production machinery.

+ Working knowledge of PLC diagnostics, troubleshooting, and minor program modifications.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

+ Strong understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.

+ Experience utilizing CMMS software for maintenance planning and tracking.

+ Proven ability to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

+ Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.

+ Experience in a manufacturing or production facility environment.

+ Comfort working on both mechanical and electrical aspects of industrial machinery.

+ Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.

+ Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate maintenance records.

+ Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to continuously learn new equipment and systems.

• The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with approximately 50 employees, offering a comfortable and consistent working temperature throughout the year.

The Maintenance Technician works on the production floor around thermoforming equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, motors, pumps, conveyors, and related electrical systems. The environment is typical of an industrial setting, with a focus on safety procedures and appropriate use of tools and equipment.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $38.

00 - $46.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
