1st shift, 6am to 4:30pm PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading medical device company to hire a skilled Maintenance Technician who thrives on solving complex problems and keeping critical manufacturing systems operating at peak performance. Role Overview In this role, you will support and maintain manufacturing and ancillary equipment in a highly regulated medical device environment. Working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams, you'll ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and uphold strict quality and safety standards. Your work directly contributes to consistent production and the delivery of high-quality medical devices. Key Responsibilities Perform and document preventive maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) on manufacturing and support equipment in accordance with quality system procedures Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency Apply OEM training to diagnose and repair CNC-controlled and other manufacturing equipment Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues Plan, schedule, and execute maintenance-related projects once approved, ensuring timelines and budgets are met Manage inventory of spare parts and components to support uninterrupted operations Assist in equipment and process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ) and document results accurately Support calibration activities for production equipment involving variables such as time, temperature, and pressure Ensure compliance with all SOPs, quality system requirements, and safety policies Identify and document process deviations and contribute to corrective actions Develop and implement process improvement initiatives through to completion Train and support junior technicians and collaborate across teams to meet departmental goals
Required Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on training preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC-controlled equipment Proven ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues in a manufacturing environment Prior completion of Maintenance Tech II level responsibilities or equivalent experience Experience with formal technical training from an accredited source
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to make sound decisions independently Solid record-keeping and documentation skills Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with maintenance systems/software Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to train and mentor entry-level technicians Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules Preferred Qualifications Experience in a regulated industry such as medical device manufacturing Familiarity with quality systems and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) Hands-on experience with calibration and precision equipment Why This Opportunity Stands Out This is an opportunity to work in a high-impact environment where quality, compliance, and innovation come together. Pay Details:
$25.00 to $28.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
