Job Description

Marriott is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support reliable, well-maintained hotel facilities that enhance the guest experience. In this on-site role, you'll perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs on guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems, including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical work. You'll respond to work orders, assist with inspections, support contractors, and follow strict safety and brand standards. This position offers structured training, exposure to hospitality operations, and opportunities for long-term growth within Marriott's global portfolio. Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, guest rooms, and public areas Diagnose and repair minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues Complete work orders promptly while minimizing disruption to guests Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with standards Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk to address maintenance requests Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance logs accurately Support vendors and contractors during major repairs or projects Follow all safety, fire, and security procedures and regulations Assist with emergency responses such as power outages or leaks Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce downtime Required Skills Preventive maintenance Basic electrical repair Basic plumbing repair HVAC troubleshooting Carpentry and drywall repair Use of hand and power tools Reading technical manuals and work orders Building safety and code awareness CMMS or work order systems Basic computer skills
