Summary:

Alessi Bakeries has been serving Tampa since 1912 and we are happy to announce that we are seeking to employ a full time Maintenance Handyman who will undertake projects and repairs at our manufacturing plant, retail bakery, and various rental properties. This is a Part-time position with occasional OT and weekend work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

( Other duties may be assigned) Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs. Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and recommend solutions. Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components and equipment. Install new fixtures, appliances, and equipment as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage areas. Collaborate with other team members as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Qualifications:

Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance worker. Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. High school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
