Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician and become a vital part of creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the hotel's facilities, ensuring all systems operate smoothly, and addressing maintenance needs promptly. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters. Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures. Maintain building interior by painting walls, repairing carpentry issues, and performing general facilities upkeep to enhance aesthetic appeal. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated building systems and oversee facilities equipment maintenance. Use welding techniques for structural repairs when necessary, ensuring safety standards are met. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee the use of hand tools for various repair tasks. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and maintain detailed records of work performed using schematics and maintenance logs. Collaborate with team members to coordinate repairs efficiently while providing excellent customer service to internal departments. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, or mechanical troubleshooting. Hands-on knowledge of electrical equipment repair, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, carpentry, welding, and painting is essential. Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, building interior maintenance procedures, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices. Supervising or leadership experience is preferred; ability to lead small teams or oversee contractors is a plus. Proficiency with hand tools such as drills, saws, wrenches along with testing devices like ohmmeters or multimeters. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members. Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately for complex repairs. Prior experience in residential or commercial facilities maintenance is highly valued; certification in electrical work or HVAC repair is advantageous but not mandatory.
