• Job Description
• The Utility Worker maintains clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen and lobby areas, supports basic food preparation, and ensures equipment, utensils, and supplies are consistently ready for use. This role also includes brewing coffee, restocking items, and may involve working in the oven area as needed.
• Responsibilities
• + Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including surfaces, equipment, and utensils.

+ Perform general labor and janitorial tasks to support overall facility cleanliness.

+ Clean and maintain the lobby area to ensure a welcoming environment for guests.

+ Brew coffee and ensure beverage stations are stocked and presentable.

+ Restock supplies in the kitchen and lobby, including utensils, condiments, and other necessary items.

+ Assist with basic cook prep activities as directed, following food safety and hygiene guidelines.

+ Work in the oven area as needed, adhering to safety procedures and operating guidelines.

+ Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.

+ Follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

+ Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth daily operations.

• Essential Skills
• + Previous experience in general labor or janitorial work.

+ Experience in janitorial cleaning tasks within a kitchen or similar environment.

+ Ability to perform basic cook prep activities following instructions.

+ Capability to maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.

+ Skill in brewing coffee and maintaining beverage service stations.

+ Attention to detail in cleaning, restocking, and organizing workspaces.

+ Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures consistently.

+ Reliability in working assigned shifts and completing tasks on time.

+ Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and move supplies as required.

• Work Environment
• This position operates on the second shift, typically from 1:00 p.

m. to 10:30 p.m. You work primarily in kitchen and lobby areas that require regular cleaning, restocking, and upkeep. The environment involves standing and moving for most of the shift, working around ovens and other kitchen equipment, and handling cleaning tools and supplies. You are expected to follow appropriate attire guidelines suitable for kitchen and janitorial work, including practical, clean clothing and any required protective gear as directed by workplace safety standards.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $18.

00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
