The product portfolio includes Dihydromyrcenol, Linalool and Anethole, used in perfumes, household products, and food and beverage flavorings. The company holds leading market positions in several of these core products, including as the largest North American producer of Dihydromyrcenol, and supplies customers across the consumer goods, personal care, food & beverage and industrial chemicals markets. With manufacturing across two integrated U.S. production sites in Jacksonville, Florida, and Colonels Island, Georgia, the business serves customers globally, particularly across North America and numerous international markets. Many of these customer relationships span more than a decade, notably long-standing by industry standards. Your Role Performs as a skilled technician in one "Maintenance Discipline" and under limited supervision in all other maintenance disciplines. The Maintenance Technician supports the production facility in the installation, upkeep and repair of all plant mechanical/electrical equipment (Gearboxes, Agitators, Motors, Valve & Actuators, Centrifuge, Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, etc.) 1. Performs Corrective Maintenance on all plant equipment failures by properly troubleshooting, analyzing and repairing the equipment in a timely and safe manner to reduce production down time. This includes both electrical and mechanical maintenance equipment. 2. Performs Preventative Maintenance on all plant equipment to ensure safety and reliability by increasing run time between failures of plant critical equipment. This includes both electrical and mechanical equipment. 3. Works with vendors and technical representatives to solve difficult plant equipment failures. 4. Actively participate in the "Plant Safety" and the "Continuous Improvement Process" teams and meetings to ensure a safe work place for all employees. This includes leading one safety talk topic each year. 5. Installs new equipment in production facilities and writes procedures to a.) Ensure proper operation and b.) To extend useful life of said equipment. 6. Assists other departments and or employees with daily tasks or assignments where needed to promote good teamwork environment Job Requirements Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Five years experience in "Industrial Maintenance Disciplines" or equivalent and/or successful completion of "Military, Industrial or Technical School Program" highly desired. Electrical experience highly desired. Must have the ability to use Windows 98+, including Excel, Word and Access. Must have the ability to perform work assignments to solve equipment/system problems in a systematic, logical and expeditious manner. Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on a daily basis. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The nature of the job requires that the incumbent ascend and descend stairs and ladders on a frequent basis. He/She must be able to safely lift items weighing 55lbs. The incumbent must be physically and mentally able to wear all Personal Protective Clothing as required by the MSDS sheets on all chemicals located at AmeriTerpenes facilities. He or She must be able to perform in outdoor weather in and around hazardous and/or unpleasant conditions for several hours if not all day.
