TownePlace Suites by Marriott Calhoun, Calhoun, GA Hotel experience is a plus! Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, equipment, and guest areas to ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong maintenance background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Complete guest room repairs, including fixtures, appliances, locks, lighting, and furniture. Maintain hotel equipment, tools, and facilities in proper working condition. Perform painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry work as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities and grounds. Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies and guest service requests. Assist with welding and fabrication projects when necessary. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Assist in supervising maintenance projects, contractors, and vendors when needed. Qualifications Previous maintenance experience required; hotel maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently. Experience reading schematics and technical drawings. Welding experience is a plus. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and work orders. Reliable transportation and ability to commute daily to TownePlace Suites Calhoun . Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as needed.
