Dalton, Ga About the Role We are seeking a dependable and skilled Tufting Maintenance Technician to join our production team. This position supports the Lead Mechanic by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on tufting machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation. This is not a lead role, but a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in textile or tufting equipment. Key Responsibilities Assist with setup, calibration, and routine adjustments on tufting machines Perform mechanical troubleshooting to reduce downtime and maintain production flow Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections Replace needles, loopers, knives, hooks, guides, and other wearable parts Check tension, alignment, and stitch quality Support the Lead Mechanic on repairs, rebuilds, and upgrades Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report issues promptly Follow safety standards and keep work area organized and clean Assist with machine changeovers and part setups as needed Qualifications Experience with tufting machinery or related textile equipment preferred Solid mechanical reasoning and troubleshooting ability Ability to follow direction and work effectively with the Lead Mechanic Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic understanding of tools, mechanical components, and industrial equipment What We Offer Competitive pay: $18-$23 per hour , depending on experience Opportunity to grow into higher-level maintenance roles Consistent full-time schedule Supportive, team-oriented work environment Benefits package
