Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift (3:00 PM-11:30 PM) Hyundai Steel Georgia Inc - 3.8 Ellabell, GA Job Details Full-time $31.09 an hour 4 days ago Qualifications Customer communication Computer literacy Power drills Fastening tools High school diploma or GED Wrenches Power tools Full Job Description Position Overview A Maintenance Technician - Mechanical is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on production lines to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime. This role also includes maintaining inventory of tools and supplies, while assisting with various maintenance duties throughout the facility to support safe and reliable operations. Key Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance and Checking the Production Lines Daily Repair or replace defective equipment, and components using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices. Diagnose root causes of machine down time with accuracy. Consult with production team member for trouble shooting issues and approve trouble shooting completion done by production team members Contribute to development of maintenance standards to ensure clear and consistent standards Assist with Maintenance team with facility projects and other related duties Read and interpret blueprints and program instructions to accurately perform installation and repair tasks. Comply with all safety standards, company policies, and applicable manufacturing codes to ensure a safe and legally compliant work environment. Document all mechanical maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, time spent, downtime, and work performed, in compliance with company procedures. Assist Production lines as needed to which can include forklift or usage of overhead crane. Qualifications High School diploma or GED Required. 3-5 Years Relevant experience Required. Usage of basic hand tools (drills, wrenches, etc.) Required Vocational or Technical training in Mechanical Engineering Preferred. Overhead Crane Certification Preferred.
