Role:
CFS Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe and efficient operation of our brand new 500,000 square foot distribution center to include facilities, automation, docks mechanisms, and power equipment through internal preventative maintenance, repairs, and vendor managed preventative maintenance programs.
Responsibilities:
Maintain strict adherence to all CFS Brands safety protocols including, but not limited to, safety absolutes, lock out-tag out, OHSA, hot permit requirements and all fire and security protocols. Perform routine maintenance/repairs to building fixtures, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and dock equipment (doors/levelers), power equipment and other items found within the distribution center. Conduct daily/weekly inspections of the facility, yard, automation, and dock areas to identify needed repairs/maintenance. Act as the liaison for third-party repairs, ensuring vendor work is completed in adherence to all CFS Brands safety standards, on-time and to required specifications. Diagnose and repair material handling equipment, conveyor/sortation systems, and other machinery as needed. Some understanding of control logic system and warehouse control systems (Dematic and Allen Bradley PLC is a plus). Use computerized maintenance management systems to record work orders and inventory.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with proficiency in using hand/power tools, and troubleshooting 480 3-phase with a multimeter. Previous experience in industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, or a related field is required. Strong understanding of safety procedures, lock out-tag out programs, HVAC, electrical motors/systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. Ability to work in varied temperatures and perform physical tasks like standing, lifting, and bending. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Work Environment:
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with peers, management and vendors. Work is performed in a fast-paced, high-volume, and often noisy distribution center environment. May require flexible hours, including weekends or nights, to minimize operational disruption.
