Based on Experience and Qualifications About the Role We are looking for a reliable , experienced Handyman / Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team and handle a variety of service work orders throughout the week. The majority of our work takes place in and around commercial buildings, including bank locations , so we are looking for someone who is professional, dependable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently at different locations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is capable of looking at a problem, identifying what needs to be done, and getting the job completed correctly. Responsibilities Respond to and complete maintenance and repair work orders throughout the week Perform general handyman and commercial building maintenance Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues and equipment Install, replace, and repair various equipment and fixtures Identify and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, faucets, toilets, and other basic plumbing problems Perform drywall repairs, patching, painting, and touch-up work Repair doors, locks, hardware, shelving, and other building components Perform minor carpentry and general repairs Handle miscellaneous "odds and ends" that come up in commercial facilities Inspect completed work to ensure it is safe, functional, and properly finished Maintain a clean and professional work area Communicate with management regarding completed work, additional issues, and materials needed Travel to different commercial locations as needed Qualifications Must be able to pass a background check as we work in and around banks Previous experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, electrician, facilities technician, or similar position Strong general handyman skills and a willingness to tackle a variety of repairs Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting ability Experience with plumbing repairs, particularly identifying and fixing leaks Experience with drywall repair and finishing Comfortable installing and repairing equipment, fixtures, and building components Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine an appropriate solution Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Professional appearance and good communication skills Ability to work safely and follow applicable building and electrical codes Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a "jack-of-all-trades" who can walk into a commercial building and handle whatever maintenance issue needs attention. You don't necessarily need to be an expert in every trade, but you should be comfortable with basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, equipment installation, and general building maintenance . We value someone who is resourceful, takes pride in their work, shows up when expected, and can figure things out when an issue isn't immediately obvious. Electrical experience or licensing is a strong plus. Additional experience with commercial facilities, banks, retail locations, or other multi-site properties is also preferred.
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
