$16.00 - $19.00 per hour Job description: Commercial Sign Installer (CDL/Air Brake Certified) Victory Sign Industries, Ltd. located in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, is seeking a skilled Sign Installer to join our team. This responsible individual will transport, assemble, and service a wide range of commercial signs. This position requires operating specialized fleet vehicles, working safely at elevated heights and performing basic electrical and mechanical hookups.

Responsibilities:

Transport & Driving:

Safely drive and operate heavy commercial vehicles (bucket trucks, cranes or flatbeds) to and from job sites. Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections.

Installation & Assembly:

Load, secure and unload signage materials. Erect, mount and secure exterior and interior signs (pylon, channel letters, monument and wall signs) to various building structures or foundations.

Equipment Operation:

Operate boom trucks, cranes and aerial lifts safely at heights periodically exceeding 50-100 feet. Use power tools, hand tools and welding equipment as needed.

Electrical Work:

Perform basic electrical connections, wiring and troubleshooting for illuminated signage and retrofits.

Safety & Compliance:

Read and interpret blueprints, site plans and installation drawings. Follow all OSHA guidelines, local building codes and company safety protocols.

Requirements:

License/Certification:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) with an airbrake endorsement (preferably without auto restriction) and a clean driving record.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in sign installation, construction or a related trade.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with basic electrical wiring, reading blueprints and operating heavy lifting equipment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Willing to work overtime/odd hours and occasionally out of town.
